Painting on cedar shingles came about during the pandemic when my husband decided to build a studio for me. In the process of cleaning out the building, he ran across a bundle of shingles that remained from a previous project. I fell in love with the irregularities of them – odd edges and holes, not to mention the fabulous texture. The wonkiness of them was right up my alley!
